Summarize PDFs with Foxit AI Assistant 2.0

AI Assistant 2.0 helps you quickly understand the content of a PDF document by generating concise summaries and highlighting key points. The Summarize skill in AI Chat can analyze the current document and provide an overview, allowing you to review information more efficiently.

Before You Start

Make sure that:

  • Foxit PDF Editor 2026.2 or later is installed, which supports AI Assistant 2.0.
  • AI Assistant is enabled and you are signed in with a valid account.
  • The PDF document you want to summarize is open in Foxit PDF Editor.
Summarize a Document
  1. Open the PDF document in Foxit PDF Editor.
  2. Go to the AI Assistant tab and click AI Chat.
  3. In the AI Chat panel, click the Skills button.
  4. From the skills list, select Summarize.

The Summarize skill is designed to generate concise summaries and extract key points from the current document.

  1. AI Assistant will analyze the document and generate a summary automatically.
  2. Review the generated summary in the chat panel. You can continue asking follow-up questions about the document if needed.

  • Get a quick overview of a document.
