Install U3DBrowserEditor Add-On for Foxit PDF Editor

Support for Foxit PDF Editor v11 and v12 has been discontinued as of August 13, 2025. Upgrade to v14 to continue receiving support.

 

Question: How do I install the U3DBrowserEditor add-on to make it compatible with Foxit Editor Pro 13.x/Foxit PDF Editor 2023.x and above? The latest 3D plugin version I found in Foxit download center is 11.2.1.53529. Is there a newer version available? If not, is 11.2.1.53529 compatible with Foxit Editor Pro 13.x/Foxit PDF Editor 2023.x and above?

Answer: Starting with Foxit PDF Editor/Reader v12.x and V2023.x, we have transitioned to our own internally developed 3D engine, replacing the previously used third-party engine. With this change, from version 12 onwards, the 3D engine is included by default in the software installation, eliminating the need for a separate 3D plugin. Therefore, the previous 3D plugin version 11.2.1.53529 is only compatible with the v11.x series of Foxit PDF Editor/Reader. For users of Foxit PDF Editor/Reader v12 and above, including Foxit Editor Pro 13.x and Foxit PDF Editor 2023.x and beyond, the 3D engine is integrated by default, and there is no need for a separate installation of the 3D plugin.
