Foxit eSign Release Notes for February 2026

This month’s updates focus on improving document visibility, signer authentication, data validation, connector experience, and PDF form handling.

1. Limited Document Visibility (LDV)

We introduced Limited Document Visibility (LDV) to enhance document confidentiality in multi-document workflows.

  • Signers can only view documents that contain fields assigned to them
  • Documents without assigned fields are hidden during signing
  • Available as an admin-controlled setting at account or group level
  • Applies during signing and in downloaded documents post-execution

2. SSO Login for Signers

Signers can now log in using SSO (Single Sign-On) when authentication is required.

  • Faster and more seamless signing experience
  • Supports existing SSO and social login configurations
  • Automatically adapts based on account and security settings
  • Default enabled when login is required for signing

3. Improved Dropdown Field Validation

We fixed issues related to dropdown field data handling and improved validation.

  • Prevents input exceeding allowed character limits (100 characters)
  • Eliminates data truncation errors
  • Improved dropdown behaviour and scrolling on the prepare screen
  • Ensures consistent data handling across UI and backend

4. Beta Connector Improvements

Enhancements and fixes have been applied to Beta connectors for a more consistent experience.

  • Improved content accuracy and messaging
  • Fixed UI inconsistencies in the connector display
  • Corrected icon and resource mapping issues
  • Enhanced overall usability of connectors

5. Retain Fillable PDF Form Data

Uploaded PDFs with existing form fields now retain their data more reliably.

  • Preserves fillable form field values during upload
  • Reduces need for manual re-entry of data
  • Improves compatibility with externally generated PDFs
  • Streamlines document preparation workflows
